My wife and I had been seeing each other for 8 years already. I knew I was ready to start a family with her when I started looking for a house of my own. We were not engaged yet.

So we searched for several months and fell in love with a home to start a family in.

I submitted and offer to the seller which was immediately rejected.

What my wife didn't know was that I had every intention of purchasing that home no matter what. I already had the diamond ring in hand and I knew this was my shot to propose marriage to her absolutely stun her.

So I continued to work with realtor and the seller in private and purchased the house without her knowledge on OCT 15th, 2008 just 2 weeks before her birthday on the 27th.

In following days she noticed that the house was no longer on the market and was extremely devasted about the loss. She gave me such a difficult time for not winning the bid on the house.

She even tried to get me to call the realtor to see who was in the process of purchase the house and wanted notice if the deal didnt fall through. She asked? "Did you buy that home?" I said "no" and flat out lied to her about it and she never thought twice.

I played if off an said, "who does that? What kind of person do you think I am?"

I secretly laughed in my mind, knowing that it was all worth it the when the proposal day came.

After purchasing the house I was in mad scramble to make it a little more presentable. My 2 close friend helped me clean the house.

I didn't like the carpet in the living and dining room area so decide it needed to go and replaced it would a wood floor by myself. I took off work for the week of Oct 20, 2008 and completed the job in 3 days.

Normally, I would go work then to her house for dinner then school for convience. So I worked on the new flooring on new house went home to my parent to clean and dress up, went to her house and ate dinner. She and her mom noticed that for some I eating a whole lot more that week. I worked a up a huge appetite from working on my knees the whole day. The floor was started on monday and finished on wednesday Oct 22nd, 2008

And yes, I still caught hell for not buying that house that I wanted.

Mean while we also found another house that very close by to the house we like online and decided to see it that same week on Friday. Oct 24th (Proposal Day)

On Friday morning, I picked her up from her house and drove to the houseing edition. We were a little early so I was asked if we wanted to drive by the home that we liked so much.

As we approached the house, I reached over to my left a little and hit the Garage Door Opener. The garage door opened as I drove into the driveway and into the garage.

She began panicing thinking that the ownwer was coming out the house.

I said to her "Welcome Dear"

She said "You're Joking"

I said nope "This is our home"

Even then she still didn't believe me. I so we got out of the car and opened the door to house and it finally set it that I bought the home. We walked around and I showed her the new flooring I put in.

Then she decided to call her mom and tell her what happened but I didn't get to propose yet. So waited for her to finished it seemed like for forever for her to get off the phone.

Finally, We went out into the living room area, got down on one knee put the ring on her hand and asked her to marry me.

She said "Yes" with tears in her eyes and then called her mom again.

We married on Sept 25th, 2009
